Hey girls,
We’re Shannon Fernandez and Ashley Williams, besties turned co-founders. As friends with over ten years of friendship, we’ve been through our fair share of ups and downs (mostly ups)! What our friendship has taught us is the importance of empathy, grace, love, and understanding—understanding of our feelings and desires, but most importantly, our differences.
While Homegirls IRL is an extension of our friendship, it also challenges the no new friends mentality. It shows our community what can happen when you embrace new connections and deepen existing ones.
Homegirls IRL is our heartfelt love letter to Black women – a safe space where we uplift, encourage, and, of course, share plenty of laughter.
